Fish are uncanny. You enter the waters with a speargun, and the space will instantly empty itself of fish. In my young years I used to think they recognized the sharp trident tip vibrations and associated the points with teeth. Now I positively know that the difference they sense is in intention; what they actually read is the aura or thought of a hunter versus that of a photographer! So I do not use spearguns - for decades already. :)

Indeed fish do sense the intentions. The same happens when you need to get a given fish out of the tank for any reason. All fishes will come to you, enter de net, your hands, etc... except for the one you want ... :D. That one will prove extremely difficult to get.
