The praying mantis jumped onto my sandal out of nowhere, halting me literally mid-step! I'm glad I've seen it in time, because half a second later I could have crushed that crazy bug! Instead, I had to invent some bone-creaking contortions to be able to photograph it. Then I launched the green fighter toward some nearby bushes, feeling how both of us have had a lucky day... :)
