(Lycoperdon perlatum), a delicacy when youn, dries up quickly and then awaits to be stepped on by some paw or hoof. That causes the cloud of spores to erupt out of its top orifice, to be spread wide by the air currents. Nifty way to multiply, isn't it? (I helped a bit, for the sake of this photo ;)
