Long-eared owl (Asio otus). First I heard its "whoop" which helped me to locate it visually. It was sitting on top of a young oak tree, but the distance was large, definitely over 500 meters.
There was already pretty poor light, so I gently tried to better the photo in post-process, as it was almost a silhouette. To make things worse, there was also some wind up there and the feathers were moving.
But then, these are all of my excuses! I will have to wait for better conditions to make better photos. Our owls are rather timid and won't approach closer to humans (clever birds!), but maybe there will be more light next time.
