The PlantID site says the seed pods belong to the Platanus x hispanica Mill. ex Münchh. a.k.a. London Plane, of the Platanaceae family. The way the pod strands look, they'll soon drop... but then, they should've dropped before Winter already.

Seems like the botanic beings are confused about our climate, just as we are!
