"Yellow beak" in its colloquial Croatian translation describes about the same that "greenhorn" used to mean in the times of old; a newbie, mainly a person without adequate experience. Both expressions have in the meantime been replaced by some more modern sobriquets - oftenways less nice than the olden originals... :)
