I take that old strobe along sometimes when there is need for as much light as its huge condenser and "hammerhead" reflector can deliver. It was made a long time ago, so it will synchronize with modern cameras only wirelessly, via its slave sensor. Of course, the proper output level has to be pre-calculated.
But the manufacturer has thought of that and a handy calculator is the part of the unit.

My pleasure. The Metz is actually the 30-years old flash unit (a "hammerhead" type) used to light up the Vrelo Cave, and you can see the power it packs.
