Neretva river, joining the Adriatic in the southern part of the Croatian coast, forms its Delta by releasing sediment. This is an incredibly fertile ground, and people appreciate the fact by saying, should you stick your umbrella into the dirt, expect it to blossom by tomorrow!
Folks tend to their cultures by boats, using specially cut canals to approach their fields and gardens. Beside being agriculturally excellent, the whole Delta is also very photogenic area, whatever the scale applied; from vista-vision landscapes to the tiniest of detail.
Well worth visiting, y'all, especially during Spring and Autumn!
