yes cause the subject was very shiny and there was top lighting i was looking for shadow side to help get the colour out of my subject did not help laying down on ant nest.Equipment
Nikon D3300 and the lens i won from Tamron Australia 16-300mm VC PZD Macro no filters or tripod.Inspiration
i finally got this awesome lens i wanted to test out. My plan was to get to Thirlmere lakes and try get some bird photo's, it was ok till i seen all these little mushrooms on my walk along the trail. my thoughts was of a fairy world at ground level. i was very excited when i came across the wombat mound covered in these like little green tree's "Pteridophytes" and tiny fungus was perfect combo of a nice fairy world :DEditing
i did some light processing work in light room adjusting the contrast a little and the whites/blacks till they just clipping. i pulled back the saturation a touch and increase the vibrant. gave a little pop to the imageIn my camera bag
Nikon D3300, vanguard Alta pro tripod ,50mm 1.8g, 18-55mm kit lens, Cokin gradual filters and filter holder, Hoya Cir polarizeing filters, triggertrap mobile dongle and HP tablet.Feedback
don't be afraid to get dirty or be afraid of insect bites. be at same level as the subject and take you're time, work the scene with different angles and lightning. when walking the trail be prepared to take 3 times as long. need to keep you're eyes pealed for these little guys or any fungus use you're imagination.
