Not a conventional baby photo but then again I had to crawl on the bathroom floor to capture this wee darling.

Thank you - I love her face. But I am biased being her grandmother ;-)

Location
This photo was taken on the bathroom floor as my grand-daughter waited for her bath to be run.Time
To keep her amused I pulled out my camera and played and took some shots - she knows me best behind a camera body!Lighting
The lighting was filtered through an opaque window and was very soft and diffuse.Equipment
I used my trusty Nikon D700 with my 14 - 24mm 2.8 lens to give a rather distorted look at a child's perspective.Inspiration
I need no inspiration to shoot photos of my very cute grandchildren as I rarely see them. Childhood is such a special time and taking a look at things from their level is always fun.Editing
I used some post-processing with Nik Colour Efex along with some blend modes in Photoshop. I also removed a highly coloured element that was very distracting. In my camera bag
My usual equipment is a Nikon D700, 25 - 70mm and 14 - 24 mm f/2.8 lenses, and sometimes my speed light with Phottix Odin trigger.Feedback
My advice to anyone shooting children is to be prepared to be exhausted! Find some different angles and experiment with the exposures. Also, shoot in continuous mode so you can fire off a number of shots within seconds as the expressions change so rapidly.
