I noticed one of my friends in Salisbury UK posted an image on facebook of a poppy field and so I asked them where it was and it turned out it wasn't far from where we lived. A place called Old Sarum in Salisbury, Wiltshire.Time
This was taken about 4ish in the afternoon when the light was just starting to dim slighty. The day was still roasting hot as this was taken in July 2015 at a time where we thought we had a week to go before the arrival of our daughter.Lighting
Although it was a hot day, the sun was not naked, it still had a blanket of haze in the sky to conceal itself slightly and so therefore worked in our benefit as we didn't have the harsh shadows or squinting to contend with.Equipment
I took along my manfrotto tripod, a light stand and shot it on my 7D with Tamron 24-70 2.8. We had the red dress which I had did end up doing a couple of shoots with, and then the material which we spread out across the poppies. Next time though I think a blanket or something to cover some of the prickly bits while crouching could be a useful tool!Inspiration
I think I may have seen an image on here maybe, but always wanted to try out the flowing material thing while Kerri was pregnant.Editing
