Old windows have so much character. Beautiful work capturing the essence here.

This is great! I love your thought process here. If it is a composite I am wondering if you could have brought down the opacity of the woman just a fraction to make her more ghost-like. I am no huge expert in p.s. so not sure how to do it, I just know you can :-) Just a suggestion.....Cheers. Sue.

I am a stickler on lines. The line on the right is note parallel to the frame. Zonerama or more expensive PS will do it easily.

Location
I took this photo in Portugal. As I walked by the window the picture of this lady behind the glass caught my eye... it was such a wonderful find!Time
It was about two pm.Lighting
I didn't use any extra lighting, the sun was shining behind this building and it gave a wonderful soft touch to the photo...Equipment
I have a Lumix DMC-TZ60, all my photos are taken with this little miracle of a camera...The best thing about this camera is that it has a good Leica lens and it is very easy to carry with you because it practically fits in your back pocket.Inspiration
I was walking with my camera in my hand when I saw this wonderful window... Somebody put the photo of this girl in between the two layers of windows as a joke or art expression, I don't know, but it was such a wonderful and surreal site to see that I had to take a photo of it! It has a strange and unreal feeling to it because it looks like a real person, but when you look closer, her body doesn't seem to be there. The different textures of the many small windows add a playfull strenght to the composition and the two layers of windows give a three dimensional touch to it.Editing
I don't do much post-processing, I only cropped the photo and played a bit with the color depth and the contrast, that's all.In my camera bag
I don't have a bag of equipment at all, only my Lumix DMC-TZ60, a wonderful intelligent automatic pocketcamera wich practically fits in my backpocket. It shows that you do not have to use expensive and big cameras to achieve nice results...Feedback
If you look and see, a new world wil open up for you... Many photographers now what I mean because we look as through a lens and that means we don't get distracted so easily by everything that happens around our focus point. Before I take a photo, I try to look at the subject as through a pinhole, not forgetting the whole picture! Once I chose my point of view and the place of my subject, I take a lot of photos from slightly different angles and a bit wider, so I can crop them later to get the best composition.Crop and edit the photo in different ways, so you can choose the best one the next day when you can have a fresh look at them!
