Closed by an old cloth, this house was abandoned in such a melancholic manner... makes you wonder.

I love old doors and windows, the decay is beautiful. This is an interesting door, where is it>?

Wonderful use of color and texture along with the "draw you in" stark, black space of the window. Also like the visual statement of poverty, abandonment maybe with the cloth door closure… very nice!

I really like this but I am curious about what lies beyond the frame. In other words I think it could be interesting to see the edges of the door.

Fascinating depth of the character, texture captured as well as a good candid provocation of peaking curiosity of the history & stories those doors could tell the viewer.

Eelco you most definitely have the eye for this game because this was very well seen in the first place!

Always love to see that other people are just as inspired by "ugly old stuff" like I am - great composition! And thank you very much for the positive comments!

Congratulations on the win. It was a hard choice but yours just called to me to linger a little longer at the door.

Beautiful. Great colours and texture. The cloth adds poetry to it. Why did you crop off the bottom edge of the door? That feeld a little 'amputated' to me.
