Location
I was on vacation up in the Adirondacks when i took this shot, i was camping with my husband and two dogs along Indian Lake and early one morning about 6:00 i had gotten up to let the dogs out so i grabbed my camera so i could get some shots of the sun rise, i just happened to see my dog go down to the lake to get a drink so i caught it just right.Time
This was about 6:00 in the morning.Lighting
The only real light i had was the sun rising up over the mountain my flash went off but it really didn't add anything to the shot.Equipment
At the time i took this i was using a canon 50D but i have now upgraded to a canon 70D.Inspiration
I really like sunrise or sunset shots the colors are really beautiful but the dog in the shot reminded me of a wolf to me that just added a little something extra to the sunrise.Editing
I cropped out a little of the flash and sharpened the picture just a little.In my camera bag
Usually now i have a canon 70D with a 18-135 lens and my zoom lens 100-400.Feedback
The advice i would give is always be ready to get the shot, always look around at your surroundings because there might be the next great picture just waiting to be taken, also try different things get to know your camera, look at other peoples work and try to see how they might have taken the shot and just keep practicing.
