Witnessing a storm in Iceland is top of my list. Perhaps not to everyone's taste, especially my wife who prefers the warmer climates. It will happen one day. Love the photo Giles, great tones and atmosphere.

Location
This was taken near Sandvik, Iceland.Time
It was taken at sunset which I think was around 6pm ishLighting
I was hoping to get a great sunset shot but these storm clouds came across and blocked out the sun and gave me a better photo instead. I love the unpredictable nature of Icelandic weather.Equipment
This was taken on a Nikon D810 with a 14-24mm lens, Gitzo tripod and LEE Filters Circular Polarising filter.Inspiration
Iceland is the most amazing place I have been for incredible light and drama around every scenic corner, so I cant help being inspired.Editing
This final image is a combination of an exposure for the foreground focused closer and one for the back ground. In my camera bag
I normally have 2 x Nikon D810's, 14-24mm lens, 24-70 mm lens, 70-200mm lens, 90 mm Macro, 3 x SB910 Nikon flash's and a Gitzo tripod.Feedback
Dress warmly, where waterproof boots, be very careful about the waves and slippery rocks, be patient and really study the subject. Use a tripod so you can capture a range of ISO, Shutter speed and even f stops so you can blend the best bits of the subject matter to creat a work of art! :)
