The image is a composite of three images. One for the sky, one for the light in the windows and one for the rest of the scene.

Nikon D810, Nikon 14-24mm lens f2.8 lens, Gitzo Tripod. 2 x Nikon SB910 flash guns and pocket wizard triggers.

Inspiration

Love this little church, it stands alone in a field and has a terrific character.

Editing

I took the three separate images and blended them in Photoshop using layer masks.

I normally carry a Nikon D810, Nikon D800E back up body, Nikon 14-24mm lens f2.8 lens,Nikon f2.8 24-70mm lens, Nikon f4 70-200mm lens. Gitzo Tripod. 3 x Nikon SB910 flash guns.

Feedback

Carefully survey the subject through your camera hand held until you find the composition that excites you most. Then set the tripod up to facilitate this position. Use as low ISO as possible and f8 to maximise the quality. My best tip is if it doesn't get you excited whilst viewing it through the camera don't take it and keep searching for a better angle.
