What the people living on Mars would think of this! All that water, all that oxygen. Life is better on earth! Just beautiful. Thank you

i could sit and have this shot right next to me on my wall. But I would never get anything done because I will a stare at the photo. Amazing.

Location
This was taken at Godafoss waterfall, Northern Iceland.Time
It was taken around 9pm whilst waiting for the Northern Lights.Lighting
The lighting is all natural by the light of a half moon and ambient sources.Equipment
It was taken on a Nikon D810 with a 14-24mm lens and a Gitzo tripod. I use the Kirk Ball Head and L bracket for maximum stability too. (No flash)Inspiration
I could see the falls softly lit and had time on my hands so tried some long exposures at ISO 100 to maintain the quality....just experimenting really.Editing
I post processed in Adobe Bridge Camera RAW, that's it ...no other retouching in Photoshop ...I even left the star trails and a couple of slightly distracting lights on the horizon in tact.In my camera bag
I normally carry 2 x Nikon D810's 14-24mm lens, 24-70mm lens, 70-200mm lens, 90mm Macro lens, Gotzo tripod. 3 x SB910 flash guns and various other bits and pieces including 2 x Lume cubes.Feedback
Use a sturdy tripod, lock everything up tight. Shield the camera from the wind with your body and use the NR Noise Reduction filter for long exposures if the camera has one....then experiment, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
