Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in Keflavik, Iceland.

Time

It was taken in the middle of the night in February.

Lighting

The lighting is all ambient and the image is created from two separate exposures, one for the sky and one for the foreground.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D800 14-24mm Lens, Gitzo tripod.

Inspiration

Just love Iceland and the Northern lights.

Editing

Yes this is a composite of the sky exposure and the foreground exposure using masking technique to blend as close as possible.

In my camera bag

I carry a couple of Nikon D850's 19mm. 14-24mm, 24-70mm, 70-200 mm and 200-500mm lenses.
