Well once getting through the closed highway on this storm chase I set up at Redbank Qld. Also though getting dark quick I noticed the sky still full of colour and depth. Because the light from the sunset only got through in parts, it created an amazing colour in the cloud and with a long exposure I felt like I was looking deep into the storm. The level of large and violent lightning from this storm system was just insane. I also experience lightning hitting just meters from my car more than once but by this stage the crawlers had taken over with only the odd CG strike happening. Thats why I set my camera up and photographed from my car till safe.
