Though simplistic and generic in it’s location, this is one of my own personal favorite shots. It was taken right after a rainstorm on a hot spring day, actually right around noontime (hence the title) as the sun was just breaking through. It was
taken next to a lake very near our home at the time; the bare tree had only small buds; the Kodachrome picked up a pinkish hue from the hazy sunlight as it broke through the ominous clouds.
At the time (early 70s) I was comparativly new to photography, only having had my (‘new’) camera for a couple years… It was a Nikon F2, which was my main camera for twenty-some years… Even as photography became a major part of my professional life (I actually went through three of them)…
We still have a print hanging in our living room… though admittedly my (very 'photographically long-suffering’) wife thinks it’s a little “dark”…
