Thank you to all the photographers that shared their best photos showing one tree in the Lonely Tree Photo Contest with chances to win a Spinlight360 Extreme and more!

A special thanks to our friend and professional photographer Michael Bollino for her collaboration as a guest judge in this photo contest. Hey everyone. I am a landscape and nature photographer based in Portland, Oregon. Journeys into the natural world played a pivotal and defining role in my life. Picking up a camera to capture and share these experiences was a natural extension of this passion for the outdoors and travel. Ultimately, I seek to create photographs which showcase both the powerful beauty of nature itself as well as the deep sense of personal awe we feel while standing there experiencing it ourselves.

Grand Jury Winner

"Highly engaging composition as the entire frame holds interest. Perfect use of lines, textures, patterns, and color to create a dynamic image.  Choice of a high perspective was key to the success of the image." - Michael Bollino

Runner Up

"Fantastic arrangement of elements within the given frame space. Just a super solid composition.  I love how the “hole” formed by the  curved tree branch mirrors the full moon. As well, the position of the moon above the tree and the reflected light on the water, sourced from the moon of course, was a masterful choice. Cyan blue tones radiate calm and tranquility.  The way the ocean/ horizon/ sky meld together provides a sense of the surreal." - Michael Bollino

Amateur Winner

"I was immediately struck by how both the tree and clouds mimic and mirror each other in terms of shape and directionality. Frequent high winds have heavily flagged the tree and these same forces are told again by the shape and pattern of the clouds.  Lovely interplay of dark/ light/ dark tones from top to bottom. There’s a certain grittiness to the image which effectively conveys just how harsh weather can be to shape the landscape. " - Michael Bollino
