Location
We all have a special place, the one place we feel safe, relaxed a place we can recharge and just forget about the worries of the world, welcome to my place. This was captured at Siesta Park, Geograph Bay Dunnsborough Western AustraliaTime
Early morning as the sun does its amazing rise, we are on a spit that allows the sun to rise over the water ans set over the water so every day the Sun and Water play apart in the visual beauty of this place.Lighting
This was "THE" moment, some times you have seconds even milli seconds were the light does amazing things, the image before and after were not as powerfull and there was only seconds between them, a light of your smoke a glance left or right and, well you missed it, "never take your eyes of the prize"Equipment
Canon 5D MII modified, 50mm f1.2- Arm Held- f8- ISO500- 1/160's.Inspiration
All my Pro mates say "Sunrise and Sunsets" are a clique image and dont bother, well for me they are Gods window into your soul, they inspire, ignite, calm, sooth, create passion, warm and transform you, for me they are the only way to start and end your day, with or with out a camera. Also the Ducks landing, they are common fresh water ducks who have taken up residency here and now number around 30, they spend a big portion of time on the ocean water and surf in the small breakers, bath and have fun.Editing
Vibrancy adjustment, shadows and levels in Picasa. Then sharpened & Cropped in PS for size and printing. In my camera bag

Go to your spot and hour before the sun rise, set up and start capturing, the best shots come from before the sun pops up. I did a project call "365" went to a stunning spot with water, concreted an old tripod into the ground and then went for 365 mornings and captured the Sun Rise, tell you the truth, amazing how it changes over a year. Maybe do 4-5 mornings a month, do One morning same place for a year, you need the camera pointing at the exact same spot, same focal length and see the sun move and the shadows change. Many thanks for your time. Dave
