Toddlers are tricky to keep in one place in the studio. They are always running out of my ideal lighting setup. I found this old crate and I just knew it would be the perfect prop to hold my young subjects captive.Editing
This photo was carefully edited for contrast and color in Lightroom then imported into Photoshop where I isolated my subject and enhanced his details while softening the background. My goal was to create a matte image with an enhanced shallow DOF.In my camera bag
I've always got my 5D Mk II a Canon 24-70, Sigma 17-35 and Sigma 150-600 ready to go. Often I have a couple speedlights and ND filters and such as well. Not to mention my trusty tripod.Feedback
Interacting with your subject is everything with small child photography. If they aren't having fun with you, you won't be having much fun with them.
