Location
I took this photo in the front room of our house.Time
It was around mid-day.Lighting
This was completely natural light coming through the window and I used no fill flash at all.Equipment
Canon 5D Mk II and a Canon 24-70L lens. Handheld.Inspiration
The light was perfect and they were so peacefully, unknowingly mimicking each other. It looked like a very sweet moment that needed to be preserved.Editing
This image was processed through Photoshop and Adobe Camera RAW. I made some slight adjustments to the exposure, sharpening and noise settings and converted to black and white inside of Adobe RAW. In Photoshop I added a curves adjustment to tweak the contrast just a little more.In my camera bag
I usually carry everything I possibly can. I like to be prepared. I generally have my Canon 5D Mk II, a 16-35, a 24-70 and a 150-500 lens along with filters, speedlights, slaves, cables and various light modifiers. And the manuals for both my Speedlights and my camera incase I can't remember how to do some fancy function.Feedback
Be patient with the light and always be ready. Light changes rapidly so while you need to wait for it to be right you also need to be ready when it is. In a blink you can miss it.
