Thank you to all the photographers that shared their best studio photos in the Studio Fun Photo Contest in collaboration with our friends at PHOTOFLEX with chances to win a MultiDisc reflector, a White Shoot-Through Umbrella and more!

A special thanks to friend and professional photographer Laura Tillinghast for her collaboration as a guest judge. Laura Tillinghast is a native of Northern California and has been an artist most of her life. She discovered photography as her true passion in college and from that point on she has never put her camera down. Shooting primarily advertising and editorial content, she has found herself photographing everything from gourmet cheese to gorgeous models (though not at the same time). Whenever she shoots she keeps the same goal in mind no matter the subject matter: make it beautiful.

People's Choice
Grand Jury Winner

"‚ÄčThis is a truly stunning photo. Using black and white was very effective at removing any distracting elements and helping the viewer to focus on the movement and expression of the subject. The high contrast edit delivers extra drama for a very successful image." -¬†Laura Tillinghast

Runner Up

"The cinematic feel of this photo is very compelling. The dramatic lighting and swirling smoke create a lot of mystery and the fact that you can't quite make out the subject's eyes makes it even more so. Very well done." - Laura Tillinghast

Runner Up

"This is a great example of how keeping things simple can really pay off. The beautiful light with a soft vignette perfectly frames the subjects and draws the viewer into the photograph. With the subjects facing each other for maximum expression, this is a really entertaining and memorable portrait." - Laura Tillinghast

Runner Up

"‚ÄčThis is a very thought-provoking image. The pose of the subject and how the butterflies‚Äč are placed communicate a visual message of internal struggle. Very soft but powerful imagery. " -¬†Laura Tillinghast
