With the current down time between storms I was going thru my images from recent chases. And I came across this image that I almost completely forgot about.
This was 20 minutes or so before the giant crawlers of that night which I captured and shared. But just as I started this 25sec exposure hoping for a lightning strike, a large and long Truck covered in lights drove thru leaving an awesome light trail. And to top it off a giant bolt with crawler struck just over the highway near Middle rd.
Due to the strong winds from the storm as well as the long trucks the grass is pretty blurry. But to be honest I love the raw and messy feel to this. With the storm and the road winds from passing trucks, it's almost like the truck was racing the storm to get to it's destination.
We have had a very mixed reaction to the trucking industry of late. But one thing we can all agree on is they do a job most of us couldn't or wouldn't do. And for that I thank all drivers for the job they do.
