Went out with my brother and his wife just before they had their baby to get some maternity photos. I was really excited with how the whole set came out and I was blessed with the opportunity to take the photos for them to share with the world.

I took this photo at Kerncliff Park in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.Time
I met up with my brother and his wife early in the morning so we could capture some nice light from the sun and it paid off. We got to the park at around 730 in the morning and starting taking photos around 8amLighting
I like to utilize natural light as much as possible so I opened my lens wide open and started shooting. No flash or external sources of light for this picture.Equipment
I shoot on a Canon 5d mark iii and was shooting hand handled with my Canon 35mm usm iiInspiration
well since my brother and his wife were having a baby I wanted to capture the whole family in the frame you could say. I wanted to highlight 3 important things in this photo which are "love, family, & life"Editing
Yes I took this photo into Lightroom and just did a few basic touch ups with this photo, added some contrast, texture, vibrance, saturation, and played a little bit with some of the colours to get them where I wanted. Honestly just looking at the raw image of this photo I knew it was one of my favourites of the whole set.In my camera bag
Depending on what I'm doing and if I'm on my motorcycle or not I almost always carry my 5d mark iii body, 3 batteries, memory cards, lens cleaner, lens pen, 35mm lens, 50mm lens or 100mm lens depending what I'm shooting. Tripod, lee filters 100mm system with big stopper and nd graduated filter. headlight, remote timer, camera strap, leatherman and a flashlight.Feedback
I think its always a good idea to have some type of vision of what you're trying to accomplish before you go out but sometimes the best shots are the ones you'd never plan out. The best things you can do as a photographer I think is going out and practicing and trying new things. Taking as many photos as possible is best, having lots of photos to choose from will always work in your benefit. Theres so many little moments that are easily missed if you're not clicking away.
