This afternoon and tonight I was lucky enough to race out to Mt Walker just in time for an incoming storm. This system was nowhere as visual as it was over the range. But still it was great to watch as it got closer and closer.
Occasionally it dropped a nice lightning strike that wasn't buried in the cloud or hiding behind the mountains. This strike was definitely the most visual from this spot and lit the cloud around it so bright that it glowed. Although much larger strikes were happening South of my location. This is also a crop from a larger image.
