Location
I took this photo in the hills near Noceto, in the province of ParmaTime
it was late afternoon, but it is not clear why the sky was almost completely covered by cloudsLighting
The light was filtered by the cloudy sky, but the sun slipped through the clouds creating great contrasts, it is a typical situation that occurs when a violent summer or spring storm is coming.Equipment
I only had my Sony A7 and the faithful Zeiss 16-35 F4, a great lens for landscapes.Inspiration
The light that is created before a thunderstorm is always extreme and beautiful, so when I see that these conditions are occurring, I go out to take 2 photos. I did not know this tree before, I saw it in the middle of the hill and I turned around to find a frame that I liked, I then realized that in this way the shield cloud took on a beautiful shape that seemed to surround it the tree. The image in front of me seemed particularly suggestive, so I took it.Editing
I always increase the contrast and change the colors a little to make them more similar to what I want to convey, without ever upsetting what came out of the camera. In my camera bag
It really depends on what I choose to photograph. In these cases the machine and the wide angle are enough for me. In particular, lately I use my A7II or III (I have both) and zeiss 16-35 F4. I don't need anything else for this kind of shots.Feedback
you need to know the light and not be afraid to go out even when the weather turns bad. The less banal light for landscapes occurs above all in these situations
