Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken for a private customer in the fairy tale woods near my home.

Time

In the morning, before noon.

Lighting

It was some what tricky. It was cloudy, cold and grey but I tried to use the bit of light the moment were giving me.

Equipment

Nikon D750, 24-70mm and D7200 with a 70-200 lens. SB-700 flash. Handheld, crawling on my knees.

Inspiration

The client wanted natural light photos and so I gave them this.

Editing

Yes, I used four photos, all taken by myself, to create this John Bauer style editing. It wasn't my intention from the beginning but it's how it came out in the end and the client was very happy. I added a vintage touch with reduced contrast for a dim sharpness.

In my camera bag

All Nikon for the cameras. Manfrotto light stand and lighting, difuser etc, sirui tripod, Andersson filters and much more.

Feedback

Find the light and take many photos. Let the children be spontanious in their behaviour for the most natural look and outcome.
