Behind The Lens

Location

This is a photo of the famous Jamaca Inn on Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, England,

Time

Taken late evening with the sun setting behind the buildings.

Lighting

Because the main light was behind the building I was surprised how much detail could still be seen in the buildings. I noticed that the cobbles reflected some light back up.

Equipment

This was taken on an ipad so I was very happy with the outcome.

Inspiration

Jamaca Inn was made famous by the author Agatha Christie as a smugglers haunt. This evenings sunset gave it that air of mystery.

Editing

I had to slightly lighten & sharpen the buildings as the light was behind them. This helped to bring out the sone work.

In my camera bag

I usually have my camera, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 & a tripod. I'm very lazy in the equipment area!

Feedback

Sometimes it's a case of right place, right time. Had we been 10 minutes later, I would not have captured an image like this. Luck can place a big part in photography.
