This was early about 8.30am. It was a very cold March morning.Lighting
There had been snow a couple of days before which had thawed at this point but the sky was still that grey/white colour with no features. As it was early the light as still very dull.Equipment
I'm a lazy photographer & only ever carry my camera. This is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200.Inspiration
My brother & i were having a little sibling competition to see which of us could take the best picture of a tram. He conceded defeat when he saw this one!Editing
I use Photoshop Elements. I used a mask to keep the colour on the tram & convert the rest of the image to black & white. I then added a zoom burst effect to give the effect of movement.In my camera bag
As I said above I'm very lazy & only ever carry my camera, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200. I love the Panasonic range as they are lightweight & I can carry it around all day with me.Feedback
Just keep taking images. This was not the first or tenth image I took of a tram that day. Finding the right position is key. I stood where I could get a good angle on the tram to give a good prospective. Most of all make it fun, the little competition I was having with my brother just added to the day.
