Location
This was taken at a bird of prey centre in Cornwall, EnglandTime
It was taken in the morning.Lighting
This bird was under a shelter with a back wall but it was a bright clear day ourside so light was good on the bird.Equipment
This was taken on my old camera, a Panasonic Lumix FZ50Inspiration
I love the piercing eyes of this Harris Hawk, contrasted with the yellow around the eyes & beak.Editing
I have changed the colour of the background as it was just a whitewashed wall. I felt it didn't do the bird justice & was too bright. The blue, I feel is a better calmer background. In my camera bag
I travel very light. I keep a tripod in my car but usually only carry my camera with me at all times.Feedback
It's all in the eyes with birds of prey. Try to capture the character of the bird by getting the brightness in the eyes.
