Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken in a high meadow on the Native Lake Trail, Mt. Massive Wilderness, outside of Leadville, Colorado, on a late July day. The elevation at this point is around 11,500 feet above sea level.

Time

This image was taken late morning.

Lighting

The lighting was all natural daylight, bright sky with mixed clouds.

Equipment

Nikon D5100. No flash, filters, etc.

Inspiration

I love hiking in Colorado and this area is a perfect example of a high pass between two valley.

Editing

No post processing was done.

In my camera bag

Nikon D5100, a couple of lenses and filters, spare SD cards and batteries. I also carry a Canon SX710 HS compact camera for long hikes.

Feedback

Take time to go into the wilderness with your camera and carry bear spray!
