I found this entangled fower in an old rusty bucket under our fig tree. The sunlight was beautifully filtered through the leaves and created the wonderful color tones without the splashes of light and the heavy shadows you would see when the sun would have lit the flower directly.Equipment
I have a Lumix DMC-TZ60, all my photos are taken with this little miracle of a camera...The best thing about this camera is that it has a good Leica lens and it is very easy to carry with you because it practically fits in your back pocket. I didn't use any extra equipment, I took the photo spontaniously free out of hand.Inspiration
Our garden is a mess... many pots and buckets are left under our fig tree, waiting for spiders, insects and falling flowers. Among them I coincidentally saw this wonderful composition. I love the theme of decay and in this case I was fascinated by the beauty of the entangled flower in the dark cobweb, woven in an old bucket.Editing
I cropped the photo and played a little bit with the color intensity in Lightroom, that's all.In my camera bag
I don't have any equipment in my bag (yet) I am a beginning photographer and I am learning to use a camera, to look for the good light, composition and point of view. One day when I know how to use and set the camera well enough, I will start to think about a bag filled with technical things instead of the need to understand how it works first...Feedback
If you want to take a macro photo of a flower you have to be careful with the lighting, overexposure will spoil the details and underexposure will leave you with a dull result... In this case the fower fel into an old bucket under our fig tree, the leaves of the tree filtered the light wonderfully, without splashes of light or deep shadows. Color and contrast have to be in good balance. Try to avoid distracting items in the background, because they can draw too much attention, composition and clarity are important in a photo like this one. Crop it so all the surrounding details like grass and other flowers are gone, to achieve maximum focus on the details you want to show.. I normally crop the photo in different ways and choose the best one later, when I can have a fresh look at them.
