Location
I took this photo in Peniche, Portugal.Time
It was about 4 PM on a hot summers day.Lighting
The midsummer sun was very hard, I had to wait untill 4 PM to be able to take a nice photo, avoiding the heavy shadows and highlights of the midday sun.Equipment
I didn't use any equipment other then my wonderful little Lumix DMC-TZ100.Inspiration
I was amazed by the cheerfull primary colors of these fishing boats on the dock. They looked like little colorfull toys, placed on the grey concrete.Editing
I did some post-processing in Lightroom to make the colors speak even more then they did. I also cropped it into a nice composition. In my camera bag
I don't have any equipment in my bag (yet) I am a beginning photographer and I am learning to use a camera, to look for the good light, composition and point of view. One day when I know how to use and set the camera well enough, I will start to think about a bag filled with technical things instead of the need to understand...Feedback
I was trying to find a point of view from where these fishing boats would look even more like little colorfull toys as they allready did.Looking around, I saw a higher part of town from where I had a great view.If you look at a subject to photograph, you have to try to realise what you want to achieve, Try to find the good light, the right point of view and the best composition... And most of all, take more shots with slightly different settings so you can choose the best one, once you got home and opened your laptop, the magic of today's world begins... I allways crop it later into the size and composition I like best. Crop the photo in different ways, so you can choose the best one the next day when you can have a fresh look at them!day when you can have a fresh look at them!
