Location
This image was taken in Prague, Czech Republic.Time
It was late afternoon when the birds were beginning to take to the trees to roost for the night.Lighting
It had been a very bright day so although this was late afternoon there was still plenty of natural light available.Equipment
This was taken on an old camera. A Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150, I have since upgrade to the DMZ-FZ200. No other equipment used.Inspiration
I was on Charles Bridge & the trees that the birds were in were growing from below in the river bank. Although the trees were quite tall & the birds thought they were high up to roost, they were actually eye level with the bridge. This meant that I was taking an image face on instead of from underneath so I was able to capture all the beauty of the bird.Editing
I only cropped this image a little. In my camera bag
I am a very lazy photographer & usually only carry my camera. the Panasonic's are very lightweight so easy to carry around all day. I do have a tripod in the boot of my car but that is usually where it stays!Feedback
Look for the unusual. By observing the birds in the trees I realised that this was a good opportunity to get a good, face on image due to the height of the bridge & the trees rooted in the banks below.
