The water in Kodiak Harbor was dead still as a flock of kittiwakes kept making repeated momentary touch downs that barely broke the water's surface while picking up tiny morsels of what I do not know. I took a number of photos while adjusting the shutter speed in an attempt to freeze the upper body of the kittiwakes while having the shutter speed slow enough to reveal the motion of the birds wings.
