I took this image out at the Grand Canyon National Park just this week of February of 2016. My girlfriend and I had driven all the way up the red line there at the south rim to a point called Hermit's Rest. As we walked around the area and took in the views, it was this tree and the stone rocks around it that caught our attention. The light was just perfect on the tree and the clouds offered a beautiful contrasted background. At first, I was trying to capture it with the snow just below it and that was nice but the tree was just to far into the composition. So I went for this tighter shot and make the tree the center piece of this image.
