The storm had just broken over Portland Head on Cape Elizabeth. We were on our way back from a camping trip up in Camden, and we saw the rainbow!… And at sweet light time!! We were still about ten minutes out from South Portland, and we had to get there… fast!… We arrived, jumped out of car, grabbed camera and tripod, and started shooting. This one was one of the first – from right in the parking lot.

My art director background always makes me want to shoot a vertical of every interesting landscape image, because you never know when someone might want a front cover image… And I usually shoot using the rule of thirds, but occasionally a centered image makes more sense...
