Lilies of the valley are usually thought of as an ‘old lady’ flower. But when my wife and I got married (over 45 years ago!), my outlook changed… That was the bouquet she held as she walked down the aisle… radiantly… And it wasn’t easy – Try finding lilies of the valley before they are in season!… And that wasn’t all – after she originally talked me into the lilies, I designed our invitations using rubber stamp art (hand-carved lilies) around a beautiful quote from a favorite song by Tim Hardin. So now they are a favorite flower for us.

This image was shot in a wooded area near our home on Cape Cod a long time ago. And the exposure wasn’t optimum (very contrasty with partial direct sun). After having recently come across a scan of it in my files, I decided to work on it a bit in Photoshop to see what I could do with it. What do you think?
