Behind The Lens

Location

Wee were camping in a state park (Weston Bend) just a few miles from Our home. We took a morning walk on a 3 mile paved trail and found this Copperhead snoozing in the middle of the trail. Fortunately I saw it before our dog did, and after pictures, made a wide detour around.

Time

This was probably around 8:30 am.

Lighting

This part of the trail was shaded.

Equipment

Nikon D5100 with a Tamron 150-600mm lens.

Inspiration

Seeing a venomous reptile beneath your feet can inspire one to do many things, for me it was to step back and point the camera.

Editing

The zoom effect was done in post processing.
