Behind The Lens

Location

This image was shot near Falmouth in Cornwall, England. I as on the cliff top above.

Time

It was late afternoon

Lighting

The light as just beginning to fade & the sea was merging into the skyline.

Equipment

This was shot on my old camera, a Panasonic Lumix FZ50

Inspiration

I love to see the old masted ships & I have a nephew who is very much interested in history.

Editing

This ship was being used by a film company at the time & the film crew were along side in a modern day RIB. I have edited out the RIB as I felt it spoilt the nature of the image. I have also adjusted the exposure as light was fading.

In my camera bag

I travel very light. I keep a tripod in my car but uusally only carry my camera with me

Feedback

Don't ignore the chance to get a picture just because you are losing light, sometimes there is still enough to capture that image. The RIB was a nuisance but manageable within the picture. Best advice, go for it.
