Behind The Lens

Location

In my studio.

Time

4pm

Lighting

I shot this with an Alien Bee ABR800 ring light with moon unit and two outside lights for fill.

Equipment

Canon 5D Mk II, Canon 24-70L Lens, tripod & remote trigger.

Inspiration

Was asked by client to come up with a fun composite for her family members.

Editing

The frame or stack of shelves was built by it's self in Photoshop. Each subject was shot individually infront of a greenscreen with a wooden frame around them to interact with. Afterwards each image was color correct and the background was extracted. I then placed each subject into their own shelf in the final Photoshop composite.

In my camera bag

Canon 5D Mk II, Canon 24-70L Lens, Sigma 17-35EX Lens, Sigma 150-500 Lens, various lens filters, tripod, Canon 580EX Speedlight, remote trigger and lens cloths.

Feedback

Start with a plan and plan on changing it. For this shot I took several shots of each individual so I could pick the best interactions for the best fit in post production.
