This beautiful and curious street dog kept me company one morning when I was photographing the beach of Santa Maria, Cabo Verde. My girlfriend and I called him Manolito as we started to recognize him stealing towels from tourists and digging holes for bottles in the sand.

Location
It was taken on the beach of Santa Maria, Sal, Cape VerdeTime
Early morning when the sun was rising.Lighting
It's all natural light. A soft, smoothe morning light as the sun was rising over the empty beaches.Equipment
This one is photographed with my Samsung A6+ The best camera is the one you have along. Actually, the one actual camera I had along is the one in the picture but I just loved how the stray dog lied down right by it and posed with his paws like this. The only other camera I had along was my cellphone. So this is it.Inspiration
It was just seconds of this dog playing around with me. Rolled itself in the sand and put his paws over his face right by my DSLR. I coudn't pass the moment up. It was a total win for me, wether I win contests or other with the picture. It's the cutest thing.Editing
Nope, none.In my camera bag
Nikon D7200 and D750 and Nikkor lenses ranging from 10 mm to 500 mm, filters, tripods and a remote controll for long exposures.Feedback
My favorite time of the day to photograph is early mornings. You just gotta get up early and get out there. Seize the moment when it appears before you.
