Location
I took this photo in Polesine Parmense where this small chapel is located in this characteristic position on the bend in the roadTime
the photo was taken during one of those beautiful winter sunsets that sometimes my territory (nor italy) gives.Lighting
In winter there can be spectacular sunsets, just be patient and wait, the problem is that in my latitudes (Italua) the winter time comes quite early (around 16) but apart from this the trick is to look at the sky, after a some training you can understand the right amount of clouds and humidity that allows you to have an interesting light in the evening.Equipment
For this photo I used my sony a7iii and the venus laowa 10-18 wide angle which has a crazy cmapo angle that allows you to get these seemingly impossible shotsInspiration
The church itself is not beautiful and by itself it did not tell me much but framing with the camera I noticed that in a certain position I could frame the whole curve that went around it making the shot in my opinion much more interesting.Editing
The camera is not able to reproduce by itself the dynamic range perceived by the human eye, so with post production I try to bring everything back to the impression that a place gives me when I'm shooting, giving the right emphasis above all to lights and shadows and perhaps emphasizing the colors, making them more interesting, since I shoot in raw and the raw is often flat but contains a lot of information that can be recovered. In my camera bag
in my gear there's always a solid tripod, the camera, the wide angle, the ND filter (which I use only in particular situations) is never missing. I bring nothing else when I go out to photograph landscapes and architecture.Feedback
I advise those who want to photograph landscapes to do a lot of exploration of the locations, so as to know exactly where to go when the day is promising. Sometimes I go out to take home just one shot, but if the shot is good I'm happy. Optimizing time, knowing where to go, this is the first piece of advice I give to the landscape photographer.
