This photo was taken in Santa Fe New Mexico

Right at Sunset

Lighting

This photo was taken with Sarah in the backlight of the late setting sun and colorful clouds over the Caja de Rio and Jemez Mountains of Northern New Mexico

Equipment

This image was shot with a Canon 5D Mark lll with a Canon 24 -105 lens with a tripod

Inspiration

The inspiration was the light coming through Sarah's hair and the rim light coming around her shoulders and arms with Sarah looking west into the beautiful New Mexico colors and sunset, and views of the distant mountains.

Editing

I shoot raw and worked on the image in Camera Raw to open up the image and correct the color, and finished up in Photoshop.

Canon 5D mark lll, Canon 24-105mm lens, Canon 100-400 ll lens, Canon Speedlight Canon R5 Canon RF 100-500mm, Canon 16mm

Feedback

Having a tripod and exposing for the lighlights to saturate the colors of the sunset and not wash out the sky.
