Grand Jury Winner

"For the diving image, we felt it had great composition and balance of elements—the subject, her reflection on the bottom third, and the rocks she’s swimming toward. Flipping the image gives a killer perspective and makes the air bubbles look like debris from launching off the ground. This image was a great example to us of how not only the narrative is an escape, but the photographer behind the lens is also building their own escape with the edit." - Theo Chapman

Runner Up

"This one really speaks to the “My Escape” theme. The subject is seemingly alone on a distant and wide beach coming back from a personal journey he just went on.  The more neutral tones allowed us to see how vast of a scene the subject was in and the markings of the regressing waves. It truly feels like a snapshot of someone’s most personal and epic escape." - Theo Chapman

Runner Up

" We loved the composition of this photo and felt like it was one of the most unique. It felt like we were peering into the routine of another society so distant from ours. The light from the lantern at the focal point of the photo has such amazing luminosity and brings out an array of localized colors. " - Theo Chapman
