This is very atmospheric and all around good. I'm sure you know that and all of the photo's good points. So I won't say all that, I just want to add that I see one way to improve this, and only one thing that annoys me - the glow area is simply too large. The diffraction spikes are not even a problem - I think this image makes them look good for once. But imagine for a moment if you could underexpose the lamplight, and keep the diameter of the light to ~10% of its current width. I think it would balance the attention between the dark silhouette and the bright light. Right now, I want to look at the guy more, but my eyes keep darting to the light.

A photo should be what you and your camera sees, be it good or bad or inbetween, what you have captured here is a moment in time and it has all the mood it needs to let the viewer make a double take look, perfect foto well done.
