This is Jordan Pond in Acadia National Partk on Mount Desert Island in Maine. Mt Desert is the largest island in Maine, and Acadia was the first national park east of the Mississippi.

It’s one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to... With many different environments in a very small geographic area.

This shot was taken just a short distance from the Jordan Pond House (historic restaurant) at the park at a point on the Jordan Pond Nature Trail where it actually crosses the very shallow lower tip of the lake. The view is north toward the mountains - the “Bubbles” (North and South), with the base of Pemetic Mountain on the right.
